Naphthalan-containing medications in complex psoriasis therapy

Study results: The study has proven, that Losterin medications are effective products of external application for a complex treatment of psoriasis. Having anti-inflammatory, regenerating, moisturizing effect, normalizing the local microcirculation, it has a positive effect on all pathogen aspects of the disease, leading to a clinical effect. An absolute safety of Losterin products allows its usage for a support of clinical remission within a long period of time.

According to received study results, a significant improvement was noted among all thirty patients after four weeks of complex therapy, which appeared in the regression of the phenomena of peeling, erythema, infiltration, the indications of symptoms decreased from 3.8; 2.1 and 4.1 points to 0.6; 0; 1.8 accordingly.
After 12 weeks of treatment, hyperemia and peeling regressed, infiltration did not exceed 0.5 points, healing of all cracks was noted. At that time, 86.6% of patients had clinical remission, single congestive spots remained on the skin. On the hairy part of the head the regression of the rash was observed among all patients.

The average PASI index after 12 weeks of treatment was 3.1. (with an initial level of 12.3 to 17.6 points).

When patients were observed for up to 12 months, stable remission of the process was noted among 25 (83.3%) patients.

Study results: “Losterin” cream is an effective tool for complex topical therapy of psoriasis. In 90% of cases after 28-day use of the medicine in a complex therapy, a positive clinical result was observed. “Losterin” cream does not have negative side effects, it is well tolerated and can be recommended in complex treatment of psoriasis both under inpatient treatment and outpatiently.

Study results: The performed study proved that “Losterin” had a strong prophylactic effect, is highly tolerated. With “Losterin” cream it is possible to not only minimize the chance of reoccurrence, but also prevent skin contamination with staphylococcus aureus. Daily use of cream in the remission process of atopic dermatitis allows to control the disease course and improve life style of children, and their parents.

Report on the study of clinical tests of the efficiency and safety of Losterin cream use in the treatment of children chronic dermatosis

Study results: Clinical test has shown the efficiency and safety of Losterin cream use among children from 9 months of age.In the group of patients with atopic dermatitis, complete remission of the disease was achieved among 67% of patients, improvement was noticed in 32.5%, and only 0.5% of patients had no effect on the therapy. In the group of patients with eczema, complete remission of the disease was achieved among 72% of patients, improvement was noted in 28%.Complete clinical cure was noted in all (100%) patients with dyshidrosis. To achieve the optimal results, it is required to apply cream “Losterin” 2 times a day during 14 – 21 days.

Study results: Losterin cream clinical effectiveness in a treatment of chronic dermatosis and hyperkeratosis varies, depending to each unique disease, but in general may be recommended as an effective and safe cosmetic product for the group of such diseases. A list of indications requires some clarifications and details depending on the forms and the stages of skin pathological processes.

Study results: Complex therapy of Elocom S cream with Losterin provide moderate anti-inflammatory, keratoplastic, cheratolic, derma-protecting and epithelizing action, should be chosen for long-term intermittent therapy of limited plaque psoriasis of palms and feet and climacteric keratoderma outside of exacerbation.

9. Report on the study of clinical tests of the efficiency, safety and compliance of Losterin cream use in the treatment of patients with different dermatosis

Study results: Losterin cream application proved to be effective and safe for the patients with psoriasis, atopic dermatitis, eczema, xerosis, seborrhea dermatitis. Allergic reactions and side effects have not been noted. Cream application on scalp requires daily washing, which minimizes the medication compliance. The use of “Losterin” cream in actuation stage may lead to exacerbation of the process.
